Alanna Betts Art Therapy and Counseling is dedicated to offering compassionate and trauma-informed therapeutic services to individuals who are navigating the complexities of mental health during pregnancy and postpartum, birth trauma, PTSD, eating disorder recovery, anxiety, and depression. Alanna is skilled therapist, integrates a variety of therapeutic techniques including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Art Therapy, somatic approaches, and other evidence-based modalities. These methods are designed to help clients reconnect with their bodies, achieve emotional steadiness, and heal at their own pace.
Located in Herndon, VA, Alanna Betts Art Therapy and Counseling also provides the convenience of virtual therapy sessions to clients across the state of Virginia. The practice is deeply rooted in principles of creativity, safety, and collaboration, ensuring that each client feels supported and empowered throughout their healing journey. Alanna is committed to helping clients build the rooted, resilient lives they deserve, offering a safe space for growth and transformation.

Alanna holds a Master's degree in Art Therapy and Mental Health Counseling from George Washington University. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)  in the state of Virginia and a nationwide registered Art Therapist (ATR). Alanna is also certified in Perinatal Mental Health through Postpartum Support International (PMH-C) and has completed extensive advanced trainings in the treatment of eating disorders. Alanna has spent much of her career focused on the treatment of eating disorders at all levels of care and is passionate about providing high level eating disorder treatment at an outpatient level.
